This wonderful pub specialises in serving local produce. The South West of England is blessed with wonderful supplies of fresh meat, fish and vegetables direct from the farmer, fisherman or grower as well as a host of small artisan producers of cheese, ice cream and smoked products. Their shopping criteria is simple; best quality, locally produced, if not local then English.
Their Stable restaurant seats up to 40 people and crisp white table cloths and comfy high backed chairs combine to create a special atmosphere. Their restaurant menu is also available throughout the rest of the bar areas, which are located in the old part of the 16th century building which has granite walls and a lovely fireplaces.
Enter the front door and turn to your right and you will find the Snug bar, where you can choose from a selection of the finest real ale in Dartmoor together with a fabulous array of beers, wines and spirits. Their large pub garden, which has a babbling brook running through it seats around 120 people and is located to the rear of the Inn with lovely views up to the moor across open farmland.
Their bedrooms are all individual in style and character. All of their bedrooms have a king size bed whilst two of them also have two singles beds and a third, one single bed making them perfect for families. Each bedroom comes with a whole host of little luxuries including crisp, fresh linen, fluffy towels, a TV, toiletries, WiFi and a hospitality tray. Four of their bedrooms are also dog friendly.
