Nestled in the centre of this pretty, stone town the White Lion is a step above your average pub. The bar area is spacious, with numerous tables dotted around the roaring log fire making for an exceptionally cosy and relaxing spot to sit awhile. The cobbled courtyard is open for use when the weather is kind and is a glorious and tranquil outdoor space for guests to enjoy. There is also a function room available to hire with a capacity of 50 making the White Lion an excellent option for an intimate wedding reception, or company away day.
The bar offers a selection of house and guest ales, all carefully served in the traditional way and kept to an outstanding Cask Marque standard. If ale’s not your thing, then you can peruse their selection of over 50 gins, or speak to the team about their extensive wine list. You won’t be disappointed.
The menu has been put together using only the finest local and seasonal produce. Everything that comes from the kitchen is home-made and we know that you’ll enjoy what’s on offer. From burgers and sandwiches, to nibbles and roasts, there is something for even the most discerning of palates. The team are more than happy to cater for any dietary requirement and have plenty of gluten free options on the menu.
The 10 en-suite bedrooms are supremely comfortable and tastefully decorated in sumptuous and soothing colours. Some are dog friendly and there are ground floor rooms available. You can expect sleigh beds, roll-top baths, luxurious bedding and complimentary toiletries and other little touches to help make your stay a memorable one.
Hebden Bridge is known for its wide range of independent shops and is a lovely town to gently amble around. The local area is popular with walkers and cyclists who come from all over the country to explore and enjoy the breath-taking Yorkshire scenery. Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters is a just short drive away, as is the Worth Valley Steam Railway.
