This gorgeous former coaching inn has been welcoming guests for well over 400 years. The Swan has always been a central part of village life, and was brought back to life and re-opened after a fabulous restoration in late 2020.
Their restaurant which has exposed beams and open fireplaces, serves beautifully crafted pub classics and refined dishes, which reflect the seasons and are created from the finest local ingredients. They cater well for guests with dietary requirements, and they also serve a delicious breakfast.
The warm, inviting and friendly bar serves award winning cask ales, (many of which are sourced from local breweries), craft lagers, ciders, a short and considered wine list, an artisan gin list and a fine selection of malt whiskies. The pretty courtyard garden is also a popular spot from which to enjoy al fresco drinks when the sun is shining.
There are a great range of bedroom options which comprise of nine double rooms, four twin rooms, one family room, one four poster room and a gorgeous suite.

Tarporley is situated on the Sandstone Trail, and has a multitude of walking trails on their doorstep, through the scenic Cheshire Plains and into Shropshire. Beeston Castle is a ten minute drive away and the city’s cathedral, zoo and racecourse are all within ten miles of the pub.
