This warm, inviting and friendly pub has built a reputation for delicious seasonal cooking, using the very best local produce on their doorstep, such as Romney Marsh Lamb, and fish caught and delivered daily from Rye Harbour. Their menus also cater well for guests with dietary requirements and there is a kids menu too.
The bar serves an interesting and eclectic wine list, together with a great selection of craft beers and local ales such as their very own Standard Inn Farmer Ale.
There are five charismatic bedrooms above the inn, each named after the five historical sync ports situated on the south east coast.
Each spacious bedroom comes with the comfiest of beds, feather pillows and duvets, a Smart TV, complimentary toiletries and WiFi access, and after a restful night’s sleep you can look forward to a truly scrumptious full English breakfast.
Dogs are welcome on request, directly with the pub and with prior acknowledgement.
Like the majority of the buildings in Rye, they do not have their own parking, however they are just a short walk from the main central car park.
This wonderful pub is a meeting place at the heart of the community, and at the bar you will find locals, walkers, writers, farmers and travellers stopping by for a drink or a bite to eat.
