The Riverside Inn is a fabulous gastro pub in the pretty peaceful village of Aymestrey. Authentic and atmospheric, the 16th century black and white building is surrounded by the natural beauty of the River Lugg valley and picturesque Herefordshire countryside. The bar and restaurant have been deliberately kept in a traditional style, log fires, candles, hops and oak beams, bricks and stone. There is plenty of space by the river or in the terrace garden to eat when the weather allows and a wander around their kitchen garden is highly encouraged.
Their bar area offers two double sided wood burning stoves with sofas and soft seating to relax in for a morning coffee or pre dinner drink. As well as an interesting wine list, they offer hand-pulled real ales from Cleobury Mortimer and Stoke Lacey and cider from Tenbury Wells and Leominster. Everything at The Riverside is made and cooked freshly on site, from their garden honey, oat and yogurt soda bread to their lemon verbena ice cream.
The accommodation is stunning with the choice of bedrooms, luxury suites and their fabulous garden rooms with feature baths, perfect for a romantic getaway. Their suites are a tranquil haven, offering a relaxing sitting area with views variously overlooking the River Lugg or the Aymestrey countryside. You will also find flat screen TV’s, WiFi, freshly ground coffee and tea making facilities plus homemade biscuits in your room for you to enjoy. Bedrooms also come with complimentary Noble Isle toiletries, fluffy towels and waffle bathrobes.
Well behaved and clean dogs are welcome to stay in certain rooms with their owners for a small supplementary charge, but should not be left unattended in rooms. They are welcome to dine with you in certain areas should you wish.
