The Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851 on the foundations of old clay cellars and was given its name after the creator of Charlestown Harbour, Charles Rashleigh.
The restaurant serves refined seasonal pub classics, local seafood, sharing plates, sides, indulgent puddings, a Sunday roast, and good options for children, and guests with dietary requirements. Outside, their terraced garden is the perfect spot from which to enjoy al fresco drinking and dining in the sunshine.
The bar is well-stocked with award-winning St Austell flagship beers, limited edition brews, artisan spirits, an eclectic wine list, and interesting non-alcoholic choices.
The Rashleigh Arms has a mix of Deluxe Harbour rooms with coastal views, Harbour rooms, and Classic rooms. Each room comes with a seating area, tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer, and WiFi access.
Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub, for a nominal fee per dog, per night.
Breakfast is a real treat and is served daily.
The pub has a small pay and display car park behind the pub, for which spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are required to register their car with the reception team upon check-in for free parking.
The pub is a few metres from Porthpean Beach, a small stretch of golden sand surrounded by cliffs and farmland. The St Austell Brewery visitor centre is within proximity, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 20-minute drive away.
