Steeped in history, this 18th Century Inn is located in the hamlet of Tuckenhay, which was once a hive of industrial activity.
Within easy reach of Totnes, Dartmouth and the stunning South Devon coast there is no better place to while away a few hours while enjoying a bite to eat or a cold beer.
Once owned by the infamous TV chef Keith Floyd, The Maltsters Arms is a warm and welcoming place and extremely popular with locals and visitors alike.
During the summer months the outdoor ‘Croc Bar’ and quayside dining is buzzing with activity – music, boats mooring, kayaks launching and children crabbing and feeding the ducks. And in the winter it makes an inviting hideaway with the open fire, board games and warming home-cooked food.
There are plenty of local ales to choose from and a carefully selected winelist. Our lunch and dinner menus offer fresh, seasonal and locally sourced dishes as well as Daily Market Fish Specials including whole crab and Surf n Turf, River Exe moules and fish and chips.
The Maltsters Arms has adjoining riverside accommodation with six beautifully appointed, double en-suite rooms as well as an eight-man bunk dorm and two basic double rooms with a shared bathroom (for those on a slightly tighter budget).
Please note
• All en-suite room rates are based on two people sharing and include a cooked breakfast. High Season: Mid April to Mid October.
