The rooms at the George & Dragon have been individually styled around the local area and its heritage, providing something with rather more personality than a conventional hotel room and making a fitting base for exploring the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. Accommodation is available for double, single and family occupancy, with family rooms coming with one double and one single bed. Drink - Wet Led Pub Only
The George & Dragon is a traditional wet-led pub, so the focus here is firmly on what is being poured at the bar. What the pub does particularly well is beer. Draught Bass is a regular cask ale, joined by a changing selection that can include breweries such as Abbeydale, Dancing Duck and Derbyshire’s Little Brewing Company. There is a beer garden at the rear for warmer days, along with a traditional skittle alley, while the real fire comes into its own when the weather turns chilly.
