The Fox Inn is located in the heart of rural Dorset, situated in the pretty rural village of Ansty. The Fox Inn is the original home of the Woodhouse family (Hall & Woodhouse) and is situated across from the original brewery, which was founded by Charles Hall in 1777. The Fox is the perfect location for a trip away or a visit if you fancy a lovely drive in the picturesque Dorset countryside to enjoy a leisurely meal and a pint of real Badger Beer.
The main Fox restaurant provides a traditional and relaxing atmosphere, with soft lighting, oak panelled walls, low ceilings and some interesting portraits. For a more informal experience try the light and airy garden restaurant, which has a real log burner to keep you warm and cosy during the winter months – ideal for lunch or you can eat in the beautiful snug bar area. In the summer there is a large outside patio area in the landscaped garden.
The Fox Inn specialises in beautifully prepared meals created by their specialist team. With everything being cooked to order there is always the opportunity to adapt the dishes to meet individual dietary requirements including vegetarian. The pub is also dog friendly and has a fully equipped dog wet room and a special doggy menu.
They have 10 well appointed en-suite letting bedrooms, including 4 king size rooms, 5 double rooms and a family room. All rooms are well equipped with a television, hospitality tray, complimentary toiletries, hair dryers and adjustable heating. The rooms have been designed to be both stylish and comfortable with king size beds. There is free WiFi within the inn, but unfortunately there is very limited mobile phone reception here at Ansty because they are literally in the middle of nowhere, which is why people love to come here to enjoy the peace and quiet.
