Overlooking the village green, The Crown Inn is a local hub for socialising and provides a characterful dining experience, popular with the regulars and guests alike. There is comfy seating in the traditional bar area, as well as a light and airy garden room and restaurant for eating. For alfresco options, the pub has a spacious beer garden and a lovely patio, offering an excellent sun trap.
The daily menu consists of an array of dishes, from pub classics like homemade pub pies and steak burgers, to everchanging seasonal specials. Cooked by the pub’s accomplished head chef, The Crown Inn always uses fresh ingredients and supports local Sussex breweries, farmers, suppliers and producers where possible.
There are four stylish bedrooms situated above the pub, each individually decorated to combine a mix of traditional and contemporary design touches, acknowledging the Sussex countryside location. Featuring vintage beds and high quality linen, all rooms have free WiFi, smart TVs, mini fridges and Nespresso coffee machines. The en-suite bathrooms come with walk-in showers, or a bath with shower, and there’s a family suite with two double beds that can accommodate four people.
All accommodation is dog friendly for a nominal fee and the pub has ample car parking on site.
The Crown Inn is perfectly situated to enjoy the many excellent walks over the surrounding West Sussex countryside, particularly on the neighbouring Knepp Castle Estate, known for its re-wilding project. Chanctonbury Hill, part of the South Downs, is just over five miles away while Horhsam Golf Club is a ten minute drive from the pub.
