The Crossings Inn prides itself on their authentic ‘Farm to Plate’ ethos, with their delicious menus created from the very best locally sourced produce. Their menus feature pub classics, steaks, refined dishes, indulgent desserts, a cracking Sunday roast and interesting options for guests with dietary requirements.
Their bar is well-stocked with draft beers, lagers, ciders, gins, cocktails, mocktails and soft drinks. There is a cosy log fire and a games room situated within a large alcove with a log burner. Outside there is a large, landscaped beer garden.
The Crossings has two log cabins, one of which sleep six guests and another which sleeps four. Each cabin has a private terrace, outdoor seating, bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchenette, secure bike storage, basic cooking utensils, and linen & towels. The larger cabin has an additional bathroom.
Sustainability is at the heart of all Outdoor Inns log cabins. They are on a mission to change glamping forever, building sustainable log cabins on pub land in some of the UK’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.
Whilst their cabins don’t have WiFi access the pub does. There is a minimum stay of two nights.
Please note: In addition to their cabin, they also have three bedrooms next door to the pub, one of which is a two-bedroom apartment. Their bedrooms overlook countryside and their garden. If you would like to book one of these rooms, please do so via Booking.com or with the pub directly. A full Cumbrian breakfast is served daily.
From the Crossings you can explore Bewcastle Cross, Lanercost Priory, Hadrian’s Wall, and Carlisle Castle. If you prefer your exploring on two wheels there is cycle route 72, otherwise known as Hadrian’s Cycleway, which is a 170-mile exploration in Britain’s past with magnificent coastal views, Roman forts, and Hadrian’s Wall.
