Their delicious, flavourful menus rotate to reflect the seasons and include many pub classics such as their homemade steak & ale pie. There is also a sandwich, salad and small plate menu, children are well catered for and their Sunday lunch is also extremely popular.
Their real ales beers are brewed from local breweries and they also have a comprehensive wine list, together with a great choice of interesting gins, whiskies and cocktails.
The Chequers have seven cosy and comfortable en-suite bedrooms, comprising of twin, double, superior and four poster options. Each room comes with fresh linen, fluffy towels, a TV, WiFi access, a hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities.
They also have a secure cycle store, which means you can leave your bike and biking equipment safely overnight.
Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Eyam Hall are all a short drive away, as are the markets towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne. The Chequers is also of course ideally positioned to explore the fabulous Peak District by car, on foot, or by cycle.
