Warming, comfortable and with a hint of quirk, their bar is the kind of place where long evenings begin. Their delicious menus change with the seasons and they serve uncomplicated, unrushed food in a style all of their own, sourced from local farms and suppliers.
They have seven quirky bedrooms and four stunning rustic lodges. All feature kingsize or superking size beds with handmade Somnus mattresses, feather duvets and pillows, freeview flat screen TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities, homemade cookies, complimentary WiFi and luxurious toiletries. After a cosy night’s sleep enjoy The Bell’s signature breakfast (with a Spanish influence) featuring delicious choices such as locally made sausages, their full English breakfast or even huevos rancheros. Dogs are most welcome to stay for a nominal surcharge.
They also have some memorable spaces in which to host weddings, anniversaries, birthday celebrations and family get togethers. The Bell is the perfect backdrop for a wedding that will delight you and your guests. Relaxed informality is dispensed with dedicated professionalism, gained from being one of the most highly favoured wedding venues in East Sussex.
For private functions, the Big Room can seat up to 80 for a sit down reception or hold up to 120 for a buffet reception and the Stable (although it was actually built as a carriage room which sounds grander), has a big table that seats up to 22.
