The Bedingfeld Arms are located in the heart of a peaceful, rural part of West Norfolk known as ‘The Brecks’ with a wealth of nature walks and cycling routes in and around the Thetford forest and amongst the ancient heathlands with their unique flora and fauna.
They overlook the village green, and are next to the magnificent early 16th Century Church of St. John the Evangelist, famous for its rare terracotta sacred screens within. National Trust’s 15th century moated manner house, Oxburgh Hall lies opposite with its formal gardens and where many seasonal events are organised literally a stone’s throw from their spacious and open garden.
The Bedingfeld Arms source as many fresh ingredients from as nearby as possible. Their family farm (Foulden Latimer) supplies spring lamb as well as game when in season. They have also planted a new vegetable and herb garden ensuring a fresh supply of seasonal produce for their chefs. Fresh fish and meat are also provided by local East Anglian suppliers.
Each of their 9 bedrooms come with a whole host of little luxuries to help you enjoy your stay including crisp fresh towels and linen, high quality furniture, luxurious pocket sprung mattresses, flat screen TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities and en- suite bathrooms.
Built in 2016 from oak trees and overlooking the Bedingfeld’s sunlit lawns, the Oak and Stone Room is a stunning location which can be booked privately for parties of 10 or more and at no extra cost. With seating for up to 22 people, it is a wonderful place in which to enjoy special occasions, private parties, reunions and events.
The tranquil village of Oxborough lies half way between Stoke Ferry and Swaffham, and central to many market towns and cities of Norfolk and Suffolk.
