There are also creative vegan and vegetarian dishes, and guests can pre-book a quintessentially English afternoon tea. (Monday to Saturday, with 24 hours advance notice).

The Ashford Arms sits in the pretty Peak District village of Ashford in the Water, famous for the much-photographed medieval Sheepwash Bridge.
The pub is a short drive from Bakewell and three miles from Chatsworth House.
Thornbridge Hall, a Grade II listed stately home set within 80 acres of parkland is half a mile from the pub.
