Previously an ancient roadside Inn called The Hare & Hounds, The Stump is now a multi award-winning country pub and restaurant reopened by local food duo Baz & Fred after a stunning refurbishment.
Step inside, and you will find a relaxed atmosphere, lots of charm and character, flagstone floors, two open fires and a pool table.
Their menu is created from the finest, local and seasonal ingredients and features wood-fired pizza and rotating Italian classics. Their ethos is to “Cook Simple Dishes Very Well” in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
The locals bar offers a night cap, a game of pool and great music which nudges up as the night goes on. They serve a well-pulled pint, a Stump collaboration with Deya Brewery in Cheltenham together with an eclectic range of cocktails and artisan spirits.
Outside, there is a spacious garden which is the perfect spot from which to enjoy a gin & tonic and the perfect pizza on warm summer days.
At the back of The Stump, they also have their very own private event space, which can be booked for special occasions including a post wedding party. Stocked with its own private bar and barman, this is the ideal place to host a party without feeling conscious of intruding on other guests.
Their beautifully decorated bedrooms comprise of standard double and twin rooms, double rooms and a suite.
Each en-suite room comes with comfy king size beds, complimentary Bramley products, the finest bed linen, bottled water, a TV, Nespresso machine and WiFi access. Their master suite also comes with an in room bath and wet room.
Breakfast is a real treat and includes a full English and lighter options too.
Dogs are welcome on special request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub and there is ample parking for overnight guests.
The Stump is located about six miles north east of Cirencester, and close to Bibury and Fairford. The local countryside is a haven for walkers and nature enthusiasts.
