Originally a coaching inn built by the 3rd Duke of Northumberland in the 1820’s, this popular pub has been lovingly restored and perfectly blends the history of the building with modern comforts.
The pub serves comforting pub classics, à la carte dishes, tempting sides, indulgent desserts, a cracking Sunday roast, and interesting choices for guests with dietary requirements. The bar is well-stocked with an eclectic choice of drinks, including a carefully curated wine list.
Outside, the beer garden sits in the shelter of trees by the River Coquet and is a delightful place to enjoy al fresco drinking and dining on warm summer days.
The Northumberland Arms has six beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms. Each room comes with sumptuous soft furnishings, good lighting, bathrobes, a TV, complimentary toiletries, speciality teas, and WiFi access. Several of their rooms also come with a freestanding Victoria and Albert bath.
Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub, and there is also a menu specially created for dogs.
Breakfast is served overlooking the River Coquet.
The pub is about a mile from the A1, Burgham Park Golf Club is nearby, and Acklington railway station is less than four miles away.
