100 Casks for 100 Causes

Dartmoor Brewery began operations in Princetown, Devon in 1994, and have since become one of the leading South West producers of traditional ales. They are also England’s highest brewery – 1465ft above sea level!

The brewery has launched a new initiative supporting local charities, community causes and fundraising events. They are donating 100 casks of their award-winning Jail Ale to 100 worthy causes.

Charities and community event organisers are being invited to bid – by way of giving details about their event – on one of the casks, which they can then use to raise funds for their cause – for example with a fundraising bar or charity event.

Dartmoor Brewery’s Managing Director Ian Cobham said about the scheme: “We take huge pride in brewing great brews right here on Dartmoor, and this new initiative gives us the opportunity to put a bit more back into the community and to support local charities which do such an amazing job”.

All applications will be considered, with priority being given to those which would benefit causes on Dartmoor or in Devon, and those which promote community well-being, public safety, outdoor lifestyle and responsible drinking.

Bids for the free casks of Jail Ale can be submitted here.
