Telegraph Travel wrote: “A 15th-century pub with seductively moody bedrooms and a truly excellent restaurant serving high quality produce alongside a roster of affordable fine wines. It’s set beside the Thames Path National Trail, and is a perfect pitstop for ramblers or those looking to get out of London for a weekend in the country.” Expert rating 8/10

Food & Drink

Sample menus

Food is very much at the centre of the experience at Bel & The Dragon Cookham, with menus that celebrate local, seasonal ingredients. Expect modern British cooking, balancing comforting pub favourites with more contemporary plates. Traditional Sunday roasts are especially popular and have become a firm favourite. The bar is equally well considered, offering a curated wine list, premium spirits, local ales and seasonal cocktails that complement the food offering perfectly. In warmer months, drinks and dining spill out onto the terrace, while cooler evenings lend themselves to long suppers and relaxed drinks by the fire.
