With its first-class atmosphere and fine homecooked food, The Three Horseshoes is the type of pub you’ll struggle to leave. In the summer you can enjoy their pretty secluded garden and in the winter, the lovely log fires.
The Three Horseshoes have a firm focus on preparing food from scratch, they even home-bake their own bread and love to use local ingredients too. They make the most of the fantastic Hampshire produce in a wide range of the dishes and the menus are a superb mix of traditional pub favourites and new, innovative dishes.
They have five award-winning, hand-pulled ales and an impressive range of bottled beers, lagers and fruit ciders too. The wine list, meanwhile, was hand-selected by their customers in a fabulous wine tasting evening.
The Three Horseshoes have five homely and comfortable bedrooms available at the pub. All rooms have free tea, coffee and biscuits, plus a fridge that contains fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt and juice, perfect when you need to grab a quick breakfast before heading out to explore. Free unlimited WiFi is also available and there’s plenty of parking available on site.
The inn is two miles from the scenic market town of Alton, which has its own steam railway, The Watercress Line. There are many lovely walks accessed from The Three Horseshoes with walkers and cyclists always welcome. The pub also sits on the edge of the beautiful South Downs National Park.
