The Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851 on the foundations of old clay cellars and was given its name after the creator of Charlestown Harbour, Charles Rashleigh. The lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in, with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and if the weather’s good, the patio and garden is the ideal place to dine and drink al fresco.
The menu is updated on a regular basis, making the best use of local produce and often fishermen will supply the pub with fish straight from the quay. In addition, there’s a core menu of pub classics and the specials board is updated daily, where the expert chef team add their own twists and flair to create signature dishes.
At The Rashleigh they have 18 guest bedrooms, all located above the wonderful 150 year old pub or across the car park in their separate Georgian townhouse. Full of modern luxuries and stylings, all rooms are en-suite and come with flatscreen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi. Some of the bedrooms have views towards the sea and the Tall Ships in Charlestown Harbour and there’s designated dog friendly rooms too.
Located quayside, The Rashleigh is yards from Porthpean Beach and perfect for a seaside break. Elsewhere, the Eden Project is just over two miles away and St Catherine’s and Restormel Castle are both within seven miles of the pub.
