They have formed part of the Barningham and Holgate Estate, which has belonged to the Milbank Family since 1690. The Milbank Arms is a historic institution which has served the local community for at least 325 years.
You can choose a number of places to enjoy food and drink during your visit to the Milbank Arms including the atmospheric main bar or by the open log fire. Further seating is available in the Tap Room, dining room or the characterful and cosy Cellar Bar downstairs.
They serve an extensive selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which includes cask ales from local award winning brewers Theakston and Timothy Taylor. Their wines are selected to complement their delicious, seasonal menus and have been chosen for their sustainability and ecological credentials.

Their 3 bedrooms have been created individually with a focus on traditional English country style and an emphasis on boutique hotel standard comfort and luxury. Each room contains coordinated fabrics, wallpapers and paint from classic brands such as Colefax & Fowler, Nina Campbell and Farrow & Ball together with a mixture of antique and contemporary furniture.
Each bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with luxurious heritage fittings stocked with indulgent products from Cole & Lewis, fluffy cotton towels and bath robes for a fully pampering stay.
All room bookings include a delicious home cooked breakfast with breads and pastries made freshly in Coghlans Artisan Bakery. For a nominal surcharge dogs are welcome to join you in bedrooms 1 and 2 with a dog bowl and dog blanket provided during their stay.
