The George offers a vibrant menu which is constantly refreshed with deliciously British staples. Guests can dine in the relaxed two-tiered restaurant which offers a daily à la carte menu, and their tapas menu can also be enjoyed in the heated secret courtyard with its beautiful Moroccan décor.
The stylish bar serves local draught lagers, real ales, an eclectic wine list, an array of fabulous cocktails, artisan spirits, and Barista coffee. A quintessentially English Afternoon tea is served in the new tea room, “T” at The George.
The George has 49 double, twin, small double, and king bedrooms, together with a selection of bespoke suites and a one-bedroom apartment. Each en-suite room is decorated in warm tones, and come with comfortable beds, a Smart TV, and WiFi access.
Their individual suites boast emperor beds and Bang & Olufsen sound systems. A bespoke family room features two bedrooms: one king and another with two single beds.
Breakfast is served daily. There is limited chargeable parking and EV charging points.
The George is a 15-minute drive from Beth Chatto Gardens and Colchester Zoo, and Constable country and the Essex coast are both within proximity.
