There’s lots going on at the Fox with the stylish bar hosting regular quiz and comedy nights, not to mention showing all the action from the Premier League and other major sporting competitions on the big screens.
The bar serves a wide range of beers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks and there’s a good wine list to accompany any food you might fancy.
The kitchen is open all day and the menu is varied and tempting. All the pub classics feature including burgers, steaks and fish and chips, as well as an excellent range of sharing plates, nibbles and crispy flatbreads with a choice of mouth-watering toppings. Sundays is home to the carvery which is popular with the locals.
The rooms have an air of simplicity around them, yet are comfortable and stylish. Most are en-suite with modern bathrooms with two of them having a shower, but sharing a toilet. All rooms include a Freeview TV, tea and coffee making facilities and the option of a home cooked breakfast in the morning. There’s a free car park for guests’ use which includes secure parking for both motorbikes and bicycles.
Guisborough is located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The town is home to a bi-weekly market (Thursdays and Saturdays) and is a pleasure to wander around. A drive of a couple of minutes will get you onto the moors, where the walking and cycling is some of the best in the country.
