Their spacious, friendly bar has a welcoming atmosphere, cosy corners and opens fires, whilst the bright and airy riverside restaurant overlooks the River West Allen and has glorious views. Outside the riverside garden is the perfect spot from which to enjoy your favourite drink and socialise in the sunshine.
They serve delicious, beautifully created seasonal food using the best local, free range ingredients, whilst the bar is well stocked with a great selection of guest ales, and an eclectic choice of sprits and wines.
The Elks Head have ten bedrooms which comprise of seven doubles, two singles and one twin room. All of their bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, except the twin room which has a private bathroom opposite the room, and across the landing.
Each room comes with comfortable beds, fresh towels and linen, complimentary toiletries, a TV and WiFi access.
Dogs are welcome on request and with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub.
They are ideally placed between the Lake District to the west and Northumberland to the east, with Yorkshire and County Durham to the south and the Scottish Borders to the north.
