Behind its beautiful original 17th-century town-house façade, the Crown is a thoroughly 21st-century inn. Stylish and modern, the en suite rooms have been individually decorated by award-winning interior designers Bentheim of Chelsea. Each room has a plasma flat-screen TV with Sky satellite channels and a DVD player. The beds boast plump goose-down pillows, luxurious mattresses, crisp cotton bed linen and Italian lighting. The bathrooms have under-floor heating and French organic toiletries. The restaurant offers superb, award-winning cuisine, made with the finest, freshest seasonal produce available locally. The Crown is situated in the heart of Woodbridge, in East Suffolk. A fine old market town, Woodbridge is an atmospheric blend of the fashionable and the age-old, with modern cafes, smart boutiques and trendy wine bars sitting next to traditional old shops.
