The bar in the Coach and Horses has everything you would expect from a traditional pub with the addition of traditional Welsh Ales. They are situated at the heart of village where visitors and the locals engage in conversation. They have one of the finest beer gardens in the area and is a fantastic place to have a drink. Situated right on top of the Roman wall the garden has breath taking views of the surrounding countryside. There is an orchard and in autumn the plums and apples produced end up in the home-made crumbles and pies.
The Coach and Horses prides itself on providing real pub food sourcing meat and vegetables from local Welsh farms. All of the pies are homemade and filled with the finest cuts of Welsh meat. The chips are made from potatoes from a local farm and are of a good portion size. Sunday lunch is always a treat at the Coach and Horses. They serve a variety of meat including locally sourced chicken, lamb, beef and pork served with a variety of locally sourced fresh vegetables, roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire puddings and finished off with the best homemade gravy.
They boast three newly refurbished bedrooms available throughout the year for people who require a weekend break in the South Wales Valley’s. They offer full access to the rooms via the pub which is also accustomed for disabled people. Breakfast is served each morning. A choice of cereals, toast or even a full Welsh breakfast accompanied by fresh juice, tea and coffee is available.
