Step inside their cosy bar and tap room which is full of character and charm with stone flagged floors, beams and roaring log fires and you will be greeted warmly. They serve a great range of cask ales as well as wines, spirits and an eclectic selection of gins.
They pride themselves on serving delicious dishes with their own twist on seasonal and modern pub grub. Their menu is continually evolving and they cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets too. During warm weather their secluded sun splashed courtyard and front patio are really popular with both diners and drinkers.
Make your way across the attractive sun drenched courtyard to one of their nine refurbished en-suite bedrooms which are located in a sympathetically converted barn. Set behind the main pub with separate access, these double and twin rooms provide a tranquil oasis of peace and quiet in keeping with their rural village setting.
The Castle Arms Inn is also dog friendly, with dogs welcome in some of their bedrooms and in their bar and tap room.
Snape is situated around 3 miles to the south of the market town of Bedale.
