The Boar’s Head is a 16th Century coaching inn dating back to 1597, and is the oldest licensed premises in Bishops Castle. Their home cooked food is served every day in the restaurant. The delicious food can also be enjoyed by one of the ingle nook fireplaces, sat in one of the pleasant bar areas or in their new dog friendly room. They also serve a delicious Shropshire afternoon tea which includes homemade sandwiches, cakes, scones, biscuits and treats.
Their recently refurbished bedrooms are situated in a converted 17th Century barn (their Curly Tail Accommodation) which will give you that feeling of independence. They are stylish and comfortable, with all the facilities you would expect.
The Boar’s Head have four lovely bedrooms, including one family and three double or twin rooms, one of which is pet friendly. Their family room can also take an extra bed although there is an additional charge for this. All rooms have 32 inch Smart TVs, WiFi access, DAB radio clock with bluetooth speaker, tea & coffee making facilities, iron & board and a hairdryer.
