The Blacksmiths Arms lies at the foot of the beautiful South Downs. They have updated the bar and restaurant area. The interior style is a mix of ‘French farmhouse’ and Scandinavian simplicity, paired with friendly casual service where intimate dinner for two, a celebration or a group of friends meeting over supper can be enjoyed. Their food philosophy is simple – the menu is small but always fresh. They source as much produce locally and use the seasons as a guide to determine what dishes they serve.
They have created a great wine list, with all wines sourced from Europe. There are 7 wines by the glass – a few favourites plus some interesting and different options for you to discover. They have British and international bubbles in stock should you have a celebration or feel like spoiling yourself. They pride themselves on great cask British beer. There are usually two or three to choose from plus international lagers and craft beer on tap.
The Blacksmiths Arms offers charming four-star bed & and breakfast accommodation, all rooms featuring en-suite facilities, flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. For guests staying with them they offer a range of breakfast dishes. Obviously full English is on the menu amongst smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, cereals, juices, yogurt, coffee, various teas and soy and nut milk options.
