The Black Swan’s team of talented chefs produce a local Cumbrian menu which offers something for everyone. Ingredients are locally sourced and their aim is to provide a menu which is creatively put together and inspired by the pub surroundings. They are proud to have built strong relationships with some of Cumbria’s best producers who ensure they can deliver the best ingredients in their own unique way. All of their food is freshly made which enables them to cater for all special dietary requirements and food allergies along with alternative vegetarian dishes.
The Black Swan Kirkby Stephen has built a reputation for their real cask ales and they feature in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. They have also been awarded the Cask Marque certificate for quality ales. They source all of their cask ales locally and offer a wide selection of quality, lovingly cared for, cask beers, along with great lagers and ciders both bottled and on draught. An impressive range of gins, vodkas and malt whiskies are also available, including some new local Cumbrian brands and of course they also have a superb, eclectic wine list.
All of their bedrooms are en-suite and have been fully refurbished to provide beautiful, traditional, individually designed and comfortable accommodation with little extras which they hope will make your stay special. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk, extra large towels, organic hand made toiletries, Egyptian cotton sheets and bedding. A select few of these bedrooms are dog friendly and the pub also has three seasonal glamping tents situated in their riverside garden. They also have family friendly accommodation, with a room that can accommodate up to four guests as well as adjoining bedrooms.
