The dining room at The Anchor Inn Bristol is light and bright with double doors leading out onto the beautiful garden. With elegant country style décor and seating 40, it is extremely popular, so it is always a good idea to ring before you come or call and make a reservation. On Sundays they always offer at least two different roast meat dishes at lunch time.
You can dine informally in the garden in the summer, lounge and public bar where the menu is the same as in the dining room. Although children are most welcome in the dining room and can have great fun playing in the garden, they do like to keep the pub side for adults only.
The bar is everything that you would expect from a traditional country pub…warm and welcoming, cosy and snug. With photos from the past, fishing and farming bric a brac, all reminders of the pubs long history. Well kept traditional beers and a fully stocked cellar add to that authentic country pub atmosphere.
The neatly kept lounge has an easy-going atmosphere, with beams and stone, a mix of tables including an attractive oval oak gate-leg, cushioned window seats, winged seats against the wall, oil paintings by a local artist and a big log fire in winter.
The Anchor Inn Bristol has three newly converted, tastefully furnished, double bedrooms (not twins) with en-suite shower rooms. All are equipped with flat screen Freeview digital televisions, iron and board, hair dryer, toaster, fridge, complimentary mineral water and tea and coffee making facilities. Single occupancy from £60 and double occupancy from £85.
