Owned and run by the Roberts family for two generations The Nook has been serving the people of Holmfirth and beyond for over 50 years.
Their passion is real ale, much of which they brew on site at the award winning Nook Brewhhouse but their well stocked bar also features quality wines, spirits, lagers, soft drinks and locally produced draught and bottled ciders.The Nook’s quirky interior retains much of the original character and individuality that make it such a popular destination for young and old. It features three traditional roaring fireplaces making it warm and snug in the winter and outside our riverside patio and beer garden are great for alfresco drinking and dining in the warmer months.
The kitchen serves a selection small but perfectly form menu that includes delicious bar snacks, light bits and their famous burgers. They offer a more extensive menu and a unique dining experience at their sister bar The Tap House where you can enjoy Yorkshire Tapas skilfully prepared to be enjoyed with their Ales with Yorkshire character brewed on-site.
The Rooms at The Nook offers 8 en-suite rooms with modern features, each with a flat screen television with built in DVD player and Freeview channels. Wi-fi is free to use for all guests and you have everything you need to make a good cup of Yorkshire tea, as well as coffee and hot chocolate. They also have a communal kitchen and lounge to relax.
With a friendly welcoming atmosphere it provides the perfect location from which to explore Holmfirth with its quaint, secluded cobbled passages, maze of alleyways and narrow lanes. It also hosts a variety of music sessions during the ever popular Holmfirth Folk Festival each May.
