The Crown is an unspoilt traditional village pub in the picturesque Broadland village of Catfield. The pub boasts real ales, home cooked food and comfortable cottage accommodation.

The Crown has a rich history and has been serving pints since 1836 when George Watts was the first recorded licensee and was at that time operated by Coltishall Brewery. Catfield is a charming village at the heart of the Norfolk Broads perfect for enjoying the outdoors whether on foot, bike or boat. With easy access to Norwich, Great Yarmouth and the nearby market town of Stalham you're spoilt for choice when you stay at The Crown.

The pub is centrally located situated just off the road that twists through the village. A warm welcome awaits you at The Crown along with a wide range of real ales, draught lagers, wines, spirits or soft drinks and a menu jam packed with delicious home cooked food. Choose from gourmet burgers, fresh seafood or a traditional Ploughmans. If you're looking for a light bite savour their grilled halloumi, deep fried whitebait or their famous 'hot and kickin' chicken wings.

If you're looking for something extra special keep an eye on their daily specials board. On Tuesday nights the pub offers homemade pizza to take away or enjoy in the pub, BBQ chicken, cheese & tomato and mushroom & Stilton are local favourites or you can create your own with your favourite toppings. On Friday nights fish and chip takeaway is available from 5pm with fresh local seafood and crispy chips awaiting you.

In the summer the spacious beer garden at The Crown is perfect for a pint of ale and a delicious sandwich or when winter arrives head to the warm indoors and enjoy an evening with family and friends. They also have a separate function room for parties and business meetings which can be booked by contacting the pub directly.

The Crown has two quiet double bedroom cottages located just behind the pub. 'Holly' and 'Pear' are equipped with everything you need including a double bedroom with linen and towels, double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area, separate shower room and outdoor seating.
