Details

The Black Dog is situated in the picturesque village of Belmont, offering a warm atmosphere alongside country style pub dishes and cosy accommodation.

The Black Dog first opened in 1825 and was previously a farmhouse. It is believed, in the 1700's, part of the bar area was used as a village courthouse. The pub is now known for its warm and quaint atmosphere with a homely feel from open-hearth coal fires. The inn has become very popular with hikers and cyclists who regularly make the Black Dog their port of call.

It recently underwent an extensive refurbishment and now offers, what they believe to be the finest dining experience in the area. Careful attention was given to retain the original characteristics of the building but still providing a contemporary feel inside showcasing an open fire, cosy en-suite accommodation rooms and an outside beer garden in the lovely countryside area of Belmont Village.

The pub has added a new menu complimented with Gastro pub specials and a mouth-watering ice-cream parlour accompanied with freshly made desserts that are served throughout the year. For drinkers, the pubs offers a vast array of premium spirits, selected fine wines and world beers to quench your taste buds.

They offer three cosy bedrooms comprising of a double, a twin and a double with an additional single bed. The rooms are all fitted with an en-suite bathroom and all the little luxuries you need for a relaxing stay including free WiFi, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary towels and toiletries. Room prices include a delicious breakfast in the morning, the perfect way to start the day.
