From rolling hills to bustling market towns, the South Downs National Park covers 1,600 square kilometres of breathtaking views and hidden gems. The National Park is the most populated National Park in the UK, with over 100 thousand people living in the area. The quaint towns and country villages are one of the main attractions of the South Downs, and within access to London, they are popular destinations for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Probably the most famous attraction in the South Downs National Park is the Seven Sisters, located between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne. The iconic chalk cliffs are the remnants of dry valleys which have been eroded by the sea. Whilst visiting the Seven Sisters, take a stroll along the beach or admire the views from the cliff tops and hillsides – just be careful not to go too near the edge!

South Downs National Park offers plenty of opportunites for watersports and outdoor activities. Whether it is paddle-boarding, kayaking or paragliding, there are so many fun things to do whilst visiting the Park. If you are looking for something a little less exhilerating, choose one of the many walking routes available, or walk the South Downs Way –  a 100 mile route across old tracks along the ridge of the chalk Downs.
