Situated on the east coast of England, tourists choose to visit Suffolk as it boasts beautiful countryside and quintessential English market towns. Home to Constable Country, Suffolk is known for having many picturesque river canals and wild swimming spots which are perfect during the hot summer months.  Meandering through the south of Suffolk, The River Stour flows through Dedham Vale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is the very same area that famous artist, John Constable roamed as a young landscape painter. The river offers up not only extreme beauty but also several wild swimming spots, the majority of which are between Dedham and Flatford.
From Lowestoft to Felixstowe are the picturesque seaside resorts of Dunwich, Orford, Southwold and Aldeburgh where there are sandy heaths and mud flats. Southwold and Aldeburgh are very popular with families and tourists.  Beach-goers can stop off for a bite to eat at the various quaint shops, bakeries and delicatessens scattered amongst the seaside towns.
Suffolk boasts vasts amount of agricultural landscape and rural countryside, making it a pleasant place to explore on foot.  Ramblers can find scenic walking trails through woodland, quaint medieval towns and along picturesque canals. Some of the most popular walks in Suffolk are those along the 50-mile Suffolk Coast Path, which include circular walks through pretty villages. Popular towns worth a visit in Suffolk include Woodbridge, Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham, Long Melford, Ipswich and Newmarket.
