Dining at George Hotel is welcomed greatly, with the pub offering a spacious restaurant and well-stocked bar alongside a large menu filled with hearty meals, light bites and a wide selection of drinks. From British classics to international specials, guests enjoy the different deals on offer throughout the week. After a peaceful night’s rest, guests can head back down to the Wetherspoons restaurant where a full breakfast menu is available to enjoy during their stay.
The pub has 20 en-suite bedrooms, with a mixture of single, twin, double and family rooms all still retaining design touches from the building’s Georgian past. From low wooden beams to high ceilings, the rooms cater for business or leisure stays and have Freeview TVs and tea and coffee making facilities included.
The pub does have limited parking spaces on site, regulated by a permit you can collect at the front desk. There are other public parking areas available nearby. Wetherspoons also has a no pet policy.
The Georgian town of Bewdley offers up plenty to do, with guests easily able to amble along the River Severn and absorb the history and stop at the wide range of shops and eateries along the way. West Midlands Safari Park is less than two miles away and Wyre Forest is 15 minutes’ walk from the pub. Severn Valley Railway station, which guests can use to reach Kidderminster, is half a mile from George Hotel.
