The Braeval Hotel is a Victorian building and, as you would expect, the rooms have their own individual character. Rooms vary in size and shape and the price varies accordingly. For example, their twin room is quite small but has a lovely sea view.
The Braeval Hotel is home to the Bandstand Bar & Restaurant which recently won CAMRA Highland and Western Isles Pub of the Year 2014 for the third time and CAMRA Pub of the Year for Inverness South District 2014 for the fifth time.
With large windows along the entire length of the restaurant, diners enjoy a spectacular, uninterrupted sea view and with a little luck, spot the native Bottlenose Dolphins swimming offshore.
The décor reflects the character of nearby Fishertown. Period photographs of Nairn fishing port adorn the walls along with local memorabilia. The atmosphere and service is friendly and informal.
They were in the final three pubs in the prestigious CAMRA Pub of the Year 2014 for the whole of Scotland and Northern Ireland and received a finalist award. The Bandstand Bar is famed for its wonderful choice of real ales. It has nine hand pumps and an ever-changing range of the best of Scottish and English real ales. Ales from nearby micro-breweries are regularly available. It is Cask Marque accredited and in The Good Beer Guide 2014.
