Details

An award winning traditional cask ale house adjacent to the city walls in beautiful and historic York. All rooms recently refurbished to a high standard. Parking available.

We try to keep things simple at the Waggon. We are proud to be a traditional pub serving cask-conditioned ale from the best breweries in Yorkshire and across the British Isles. Our kitchen works with local suppliers to produce a short menu of good honest pub food at sensible prices. We have seven comfortable, en-suite letting bedrooms that are the perfect base for exploring everything the historic city of York has to offer.

We serve good, honest, traditional pub food at the Waggon. The kind of thing that goes well with a perfect pint and newspaper rather than a decanter of claret and an after dinner speech.

Whatever you need from us, you'll always get a warm welcome and be served in a spirit of genuine hospitality.
