Details

Popular with locals, tourists and all those who love good food and top class accommodation, the pub is perfect for those who enjoy walking and exploring the visual delights of local ancient monuments.

The White Horse is one of Britain's oldest Inns and with its thatched roof, oak beams, log fires and warm welcome is probably one of its most beautiful, as well.

Built in Elizabethan times, the pub itself is almost half a century old and is set in the olde worlde village of Woolstone, in the heart of the vale of Whitehorse; 11 miles from Swindon, 5 miles from Faringdon and 7 miles from Wantage. 6 en-suite rooms - with booking online

For business or pleasure (and the surrounding countryside really is quite breathtaking) The White Horse at Woolstone is the ideal location.

Food can be enjoyed inside in our oak beamed eating area or, weather permitting, outside in our fantastic pub garden. We have a lunch and evening menu, and on Sundays we offer a traditional Sunday lunch. We also now serve traditional handmade pizzas cooked in our new garden pizza oven every Thursday & Sunday.

The bar area, with its log fires and olde worlde atmosphere, offers an excellent choice of real ales, wines from around the world, fine cognacs a wide range of malt whiskies.
