Horse and Jockey is a charming 16th century pub, with three en-suite bedrooms offering a comfortable stay.

Superbly positioned in the beautiful village of Stanford in the Vale, the inn benefits from an open fire in the cosy bar, a friendly atmosphere and an exquisite food menu. It is the perfect starting point for trips to Oxford, Woodstock, the numerous surrounding villages, and places further afield.

They offer a variety of bar and restaurant meals, from simple but tasty sandwiches and light bites as well as a full menu of main courses including Morlands beer battered fish and chips, Steak and Old Golden Hen Ale pie, fish and meat sharing boards, stone baked pizzas, a selection of steaks and of course, they offer plenty of tempting puddings including our popular homemade ice creams.

They provide three en-suite bedrooms located in a separate building behind the pub, offering a comfortable stay for our guests. All rooms have recently been refurbished and are equipped with a television, quality toiletries, and tea and coffee facilities.

Choice of breakfast may include full English or fresh seasonal fruits. Newspapers are provided, and for those with time to linger over breakfast, there is unlimited tea and coffee.
