With beautiful boutique bedrooms and stylish bars both inside and out, the new-look Queen’s Head pub in Kingston is a fabulous place to dine, drink, stay and celebrate in style.
The Queen's Head is situated in the picturesque Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames in Southwest London.
The pub was originally built in the 1890's in the response to the opening of Kingston station, but as early as the 10th century, Kingston has had royal connections when this ancient market town was home to the crowning of several Saxon kings. An ancient stone, thought to have been recovered from the ruins of the original coronation site, still lies outside the Guildhall in the centre of the town, a twenty minute walk from The Queen's Head.
Food at this pub is a fresh, local affair, with dishes cleverly crafted from seasonal ingredients by an expert kitchen team. Passionate about provenance, the chef's know exactly where all their ingredients come from - right down to the names of the farms that deliver the steaks and vegetables, and the number of the boat that caught every fish.
These fresh, supremely sourced ingredients come together in a range of classic and innovative dishes on the dinner, lunch and weekend brunch menus. The Queen's Head also serves a stunning Sunday roast - and there is always a collection of "Chef's Signature" specials to peruse.
This pub has one of the best beer collections in Kingston - with all of Fuller’s best-loved classics joined on the bar by a new and exciting range of craft brews.
If you’re not big on beer, then let the bar tempt you with an eclectic, hand-picked range of world wines, or with the exclusive cocktail menu, unique to The Queen’s Head.
There’s also a super range of soft drinks and spirits to enjoy, with gin a particular focus - the house-infused Sipsmith's gins providing tasty twists on the traditional gin and tonic.
It’s the little things that make a hotel stay special. That’s why the new boutique bedrooms feature indulgent touches at every turn - from Nespresso machines and Bose Bluetooth speakers to rain-dance showers and sumptuous super-sized beds.
If you're staying at The Queen's Head, you won't be short of things to do in the local area. Enjoy a walk along the river in Kingston town centre or head for the shops and department stores of the high street. The beautiful town of Richmond is close by too - with Richmond Park within walking distance of the pub.
Hampton Court Palace is another great local attraction, especially for history hunters, while a little further afield, Fuller's brewery in Chiswick offers a voyage of discovery for ale aficionados.
Also close by is Twickenham, the home of England Rugby, plus the racecourses of Kempton Park and Sandown. Of course the pub is within easy access by train to central London and all of the capital's highlights can be considered virtually on the doorstep.
