In the picturesque village of Hambledon in Surrey, just 3 miles from Godalming, The Merry Harriers has its origins dating back to the 16th century.
Serving first class Real Ales, a wine list to please every palate and carefully prepared dishes on the menu using the best available locally sourced ingredients. The Merry Harriers is the perfect place for a drink with friends, lunch after a walk or cycle in the stunning countryside or a special celebration dinner in one of the private dining rooms.
Using fresh, locally sourced ingredients the head chef has designed a menu to suit all tastes as well as tempting you with regularly changing specials. From cut to order sandwiches, homemade soup and usual pub staples of home cooked Ham, local Free Range Eggs & Chips and Beer Battered Cod & Chips. Because all of the food is prepared in house they can adapt most dishes to suit any special dietary requirements.
Here at The Merry Harriers the extensive range of beverages are designed to suit every taste. At the bar they have four Real Ales, at least two of which are sourced locally from Surrey Brewers - The Surrey Hills Brewery in Dorking delivers Shere Drop and the occasional Guest ale Greensand IPA or Ranmore Als. The two guest pumps feature beers from many local breweries, such as Firebird in Rudgwick, Andwells in Church Crookham and Langhams in Lodsworth.
With a wine list that covers the Old World and the New, the full list currently features twenty-nine wines of which twenty-five are available by the glass. At the very top end, a 1999 Chateau d’Yquem is king of the six dessert wines.

You are truly deep in rural England, yet a stones throw from the local town of Godalming and a little further out Guildford. Most guests comment they have never slept so well, no street lights, traffic noise to disturb your slumber. Breakfast is served in the pub or garden and can be delivered to your room in hampers if you have a very early start, or prefer to take it with you.
