The Charles Bathurst in Arkengarthdale North Yorkshire, is an 18th century inn nestled in some of the most spectacular scenery in the Yorkshire Dales.

The constantly changing menu reflects the seasons, the local produce they buy from nearby farms and businesses and the creativity, experience and dedication of their team of chefs. The reputation for fine food has resulted in the award of an AA Rosette. They have continued to maintain this award for the last 3 years.

The inn prides themselves in knowing the provenance of the food and wines. They take delivery of fresh local lamb and beef, reared and butchered in the area, and game shot locally from the surrounding moors. Fresh fish is delivered daily from Hartlepool and fresh fruit and vegetables are supplied by Carricks of Bedale.

They provide bed & breakfast for anyone looking to enjoy the surrounding North Yorkshire Dales countryside. Tasteful yet comfortable accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales, the inn offers guests a choice of 19 bedrooms, each individually decorated to compliment the stunning views overlooking the Stang and Arkengarthdale in the Yorkshire Dales that can be enjoyed from every room.

Deep red walls, exposed beams, cast iron bed frames and beautiful antique chests all contribute to the rustic charm of the rooms, all finished to a high standard yet retaining an informal feel, where guests feel they are getting quality accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales at affordable prices a place where they can relax and feel at home.

There are 14 double and 5 twin bedrooms and all offer modern facilities including en-suite shower rooms or bathrooms, central heating, television and direct dial telephones. They also have a wireless internet connection throughout the Inn in the Yorkshire Dales.
