The Dabbling Duck is based in Great Massingham, one of Norfolk’s most attractive villages and is an ideal base for an unforgettable stay in one of the prettiest and unspoilt parts of Norfolk.
The Dabbling Duck has 6 guest bedrooms. All are tastefully decorated and furnished to high specification making the Dabbling Duck an ideal base for an unforgettable stay in one of the prettiest and unspoilt parts of Norfolk.
All rooms are en suite with bath and power shower and are equipped with flat screen TV’s, tea making facilities, hairdryers, toiletries, soft white towels, Egyptian cotton sheets and home made biscuits on arrival. The Adjutant's room is also pet friendly. When booking the Adjutant's Room and North Sea Room together as a family room, additional rates for accompanying children are as follows:
Child under 12 years: £15 per night.
Child over 12 years: £40 per night.
Additional zed-bed in North Sea Room: £15 per night irrespective of child's age.
Pet in Adjutant's Room: £10 per night by prior arrangement only.
The communal hallway houses a well-stocked library for guests to while away the hours and a comfy leather sofa for relaxing after long country walks!
Food & Drink
Since opening we have become well renowned throughout Norfolk for our delicious, seasonal menus which are inspired and created with locally sourced produce of the highest quality. The Dabbling Duck won the Eastern Daily Press "Best Pub Food Award", chosen from dozens of nominees put forward by EDP and EDP Norfolk Magazine readers.
Drinkers are also well served at The Dabbling Duck which has been recognised by the receipt of the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Norfolk Pub of the Year 2011 award.
The bar is open seven days a week from midday. Lunch is served from 12pm - 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm - 9pm each day.
On bank holidays we serve food from 12:00 - 19:00. On bank holiday Sunday's we have a live band. On the last Sunday of the month we have live music from Sally Taylor.
The North Sea room is a single bedroom in mint green with coordinating accessories. Shower only in bathroom.
The North Sea room has a connecting door to the Adjutant's room allowing both rooms to be booked together as a family room. An additional zed-bed can be put into the North Sea room to comfortably accommodate a family of 4.
The Adjutant is a Kingsize double bedroom in mint green with coordinating accessories. Guests may bring their pets when staying in this room by prior arrangement.
