The Pilot blends contemporary comfort with rich history – making it a special place to eat, drink and stay in Greenwich.

There can be few pubs in the world accessible by both boat and cable car – but then The Pilot is a pretty unique place. Whether you take a trip on the Thames Clipper, or hit the heights of the cable cars, the journey to The Pilot is all part of the experience.

The Pilot has undergone a fantastic renovation recently, boasting an all-new bar area and a new open-plan kitchen - but the building itself is probably the oldest on the Greenwich Peninsula. Built around 1800, it’s a pub with a rich history and even a place in music folklore featuring in Blur's music video for Park Life.

One of the great places to eat in North Greenwich, The Pilot makes full use of its open-plan kitchen – serving up a sumptuous collection of fresh, modern, seasonal dishes. Alongside their modern cuisine, you’ll find a number of pub classics catering for more traditional tastes. And to ensure there’ll always be something new to try every time you visit, the chefs produce dazzling daily specials to complement the menu.

After a day touring the Thames, or a gig at the nearby O2 Arena, you can enjoy one of their real ales, bottled beers from all over the world, and premium spirits including London’s own Sipsmith range. There’s an extensive wine-list here too, with more than 50 bottles to choose from.

The Pilot isn’t just one of the best pubs in Greenwich – it’s also one of the area’s best hotels. If you’re looking to stay with them on the night of a big show or event, they recommend booking as early as possible. As one of the nearest hotels to the O2 Arena, the rooms tend to go well in advance.

The ideal venue for function hire in North Greenwich, The Pilot offers a number of private-hire options perfect for parties and business meetings. The function areas are free to hire, but there is a minimum spend value in place.
