Here at The Mitre Hotel, we're rather proud of our Grade-II-listed, 18th-century coaching inn, which sits within the royal World Heritage Site of historic Greenwich.
If you want more than just a comfortable bed for the night, take a good look at our lovely Innkeeper's Lodge rooms, which come with the rather nice addition of delicious food and a fine selection of real ales in our historic pub.
We think we offer some of the best contemporary accommodation in Greenwich – and we're a very handy distance from Canary Wharf, Excel, the O2 Arena, the Cutty Sark and the Royal Observatory.
Whatever your plans, you can come back to a luxurious bedroom and wake up to a complimentary continental breakfast. Or, if you like to start your day with something hearty, you might like to treat yourself to a cooked breakfast – and sample our traditional pub dishes and top-notch drinks later in the day.
As one of the best-quality hotels in Greenwich, we understand that a good night's sleep is the very least you expect.
Our other comforts and conveniences include:
• Our 4* AA-accredited standard of hospitality
• Free WiFi
• Contemporary decor in all 24 rooms, which include family suites
• Night porter service
• Lift to all floors
Please note there is no on-site car park at this Lodge. There is street parking available which is free of charge between 6pm and 9am only (an hourly charge applies at other times) and there is also a private secure parking area opposite, available for £12 per night, subject to availability.
Food & Drink
Join us for Great British pub-food, The Mitre way. Modern classics made with carefully sourced ingredients, cooked to order and served simply – delicious with a pint of craft beer, or a bottle of carefully-selected wine.
Make sure you watch out for our monthly seasonal specials – but every day, you can enjoy dishes such as starters of salt and pepper squid with lime mayonnaise; posh mushrooms on toast (Paris brown, flat and oyster mushrooms in stilton sauce on rye toast); or hearty seasonal soups.
Our mains include well-loved pub plates and contemporary dishes, such as:
• Fish and chips – Sustainable hake, served in cider and tarragon batter with pea puree, tartare sauce and double-cooked chips
• Sausages and mash – Free-range Cherry Orchard sausages, beer mustard mash and red wine gravy
• Handmade burgers – A West Country beef patty with Taw Valley cheddar, fries and house relish, with the option of bacon, bacon jam or pulled pork; or a burger of chicken, smoked bacon and avocado
Here at The Mitre our range of beers on tap and in the bottle includes brews from small local cask brewers, innovative craft masters and some well-known beers from around the world.
Our Seasonal tap range changes throughout the year and alongside our regular favourites, we also offer regularly rotating cask ales to keep things interesting. We take care in the selection and also the protection of our beers and take great pride in earning the Cask Marque accreditation.
As for our homemade house tipples, you'll have to sample them for yourself. Spice your own Bloody Marys to help kick-start your Sunday (or any day), warm up with a special-recipe mulled wine when it's chilly, and cool down with our refreshing soft-drinks in summer. Needless to say, all of our drinks wash down a treat with our seasonal pub food menu.
These en-suite rooms have a flat-screen TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Our family rooms are made up of a double bed and double sofa bed.
