We've got everything you’d expect from your favourite local pub. Join us for a choice of selected wines and ales, fresh food, live music, bed & breakfast, and a welcoming smile guaranteed.

Right alongside the River Lune in central Lancaster, this traditional pub serves real ales and hearty full English breakfast. The shops of the city centre are just a 5-minute stroll along the river, and a picturesque cycling route passes by the building.

If loving food is wrong, lock us up now. Just the thought of it makes our mouths water. From top quality cuts of meat and fresh veg and greens sourced locally of course to the catch of the day cooked in our secret recipe we love it all.

It’s why we take so much care that every dish leaves our kitchen looking amazing, why we make all our own relishes and why we grow most of our own herbs right here.

We’re open for food Monday to Friday 12pm to 2.30pm, then 5pm to 9pm, Saturday 12pm to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 8pm.

Sunday Lunch Sunday when we do a proper Sunday roast with all the trimmings perfectly cooked joints, crisp roasties, loads of fresh seasonal veg & gravy that would put your Mum to shame for only £10.95.

Make yourself right at home. Come and have a sleep over. Our six lovely, cosy rooms come with comfortable beds, crisp linen and freshly laundered, fluffy towels and are the perfect place to stay whether you’re in town on business or pleasure.
