The Castle is a charming family run Inn set on the village green of Saltwood. The inn offers 6 en-suite guest bedrooms and provides an excellent base for exploring the countryside of Kent.

The restaurant serves excellent home made food drawing from local produce and the bar has an excellent choice of wines and beers including at least 3 well kept real English ales. Here you will meet many of our friendly locals as the bar is the 'hub' of the village. In the summer the garden is the place to be watching local life meander by.

All the rooms are comfortably furnished, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits are provided. Television provided. Washroom amenities provided. Trouser press and hair-dryer provided.

The Castle Inn provides an excellent base for exploring the countryside of Kent or a stopover for those travelling to and from the continent. You will find picturesque walks, taking the village green,timbered village hall and Norman church. We have our own castle in the village famous for harbouring the knights who murdered Thomas a Beckett in Canterbury!
